Key Considerations When Buying Carburetors
Engine Compatibility
Ensure the carburetor matches your engine's exact displacement, configuration, and intake manifold pattern. Using an incorrectly sized carburetor will cause poor fuel economy, rough idle, and reduced performance.
CFM Rating
Choose a carburetor with the correct CFM (cubic feet per minute) rating for your engine size and performance goals. A carburetor that's too large will hurt low-end torque, while one that's too small will limit high-RPM power.
